That sucks! PortDroid probably isn't the best tool to help you, and we wont be able to help you if you contact us. However we can offer the following advice:

If you think someone has installed tracking software on your device

  • Contact local law enforcement - if you feel you are in danger or want to report a crime.
  • Uninstall any unknown or suspicious apps - Uninstall via the settings menu, not via the launcher as some apps may be hidden
  • Update OS version and apps - Keeping your device and apps up to date improves your security.

If you think a device on your network has been compromised

  • Contact local law enforcement - if you feel you are in danger or want to report a crime.
  • Scan for known backdoors into your devices - Use PortDroid to scan for backdoors on your devices.
  • Identify all devices on network - List all the ones you know to be safe and investigate any unknown devices.
  • Change WiFi Password - Ensure your WiFi password is strong and not shared with untrusted people / devices
  • Install network protections - Install an Intrusion Protection System (IPS) or Intrusion Detection System (IDS), this is available as an option on some routers.
  • Use a more secure DNS server - Using a secure DNS server such as 9.9.9.9 will protect against some malware and phishing attacks.

I have another question

Law enforcement and/or legal advice is almost certainly the best next step, and depending on your location there are likely free services you can get help from. However, if you have an app related question please send an email via the Bug/Feature Request in the app.
